Treat Street fun facts: Did you know that the Grass Valley Host Lions Club serves approximately 16,000 ears of corn during the five-day Fair? In addition to their delicious hot, buttered corn, the Lions also sell homemade cinnamon rolls and pretzels. The sales from their Treat Street booth helps to fund several community projects, including tree planting at the Fairgrounds, the Gold Country Pet Food Pantry (which delivers pet food to pets for Meals on Wheels clients), local youth scholarships, and eye care for local residents. They also make donations to local programs like Boy Scouts, the food bank, Interfaith Food Ministry, Canine Companions, Kid’s Fishing Derby, and Care Crisis. Thank you, Grass Valley Host Lions, for your invaluable contributions to Nevada County.
