Extended Ticket Sales Hours This Weekend: Buy Before Fair and Save

 

Tickets for the Nevada County Fair are on sale now. Purchase your admission, carnival tickets, and arena event tickets before the Fair begins and save money!  The Fair Office is open Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm, and Guest Services will be open specifically for ticket sales on Saturday, August 5 and Sunday, August 6 from 10 am to 5 pm on both days. You can also save time by purchasing your Fair tickets online at NevadaCountyFair.com.

Buy your admission tickets before August 8 at 5 pm and get an admission ticket for $6.  Or, purchase a “Be a Kid Again” adult admission ticket for Thursday of the Fair for only $4.  You can also take advantage of other pre-sale offers, including a five-day Fair pass with unlimited entry for $30; an event parking pass for $25; or a carnival ride bracelet, good for unlimited rides for any one day, for $25.  

Now is the time to also purchase your arena event tickets – including tickets to this year’s Destruction Derby. Tickets are now on sale for the Flying U Extreme Rodeo on Wednesday and Thursday night; Monster Trucks and Tuff Trucks on Friday and Saturday night; and the Destruction Derby on Sunday night.

Draft Horse Classic Tickets on Sale Now

Majestic Draft Horse performances, breath-taking competitions, and seeing a Draft Horse “up-close” are all part of the festivities at the 29th annual Draft Horse Classic and Harvest Fair, September 24 – 27, at the beautiful Nevada County Fairgrounds in Grass Valley. Featuring six performances by the beautiful Draft Horses, this event has become the premier Draft Horse show in the western United States. The Classic spotlights a variety of horses, teams, and performances; featuring everything from farm wagons, carriages, and driving competitions to dancing horses and racing mules. The stars of the show are the horses, and with more than 120 horses stabled on the grounds, the Classic offers a unique chance to observe them in a multitude of settings.

Tickets to this event are on-sale now. Once again, we’re offering discounted pricing on adult admission tickets for evening performances, as well as on morning performances and children’s tickets. Tickets can be purchased by calling (530-273-6217), faxing (530-273-1146), or visiting the Fair Office on McCourtney Road. Tickets can also be purchased on-line.  There is a small transaction fee if you order your tickets on-line. Ticket order forms are available here. Choose from six performances!

Although there is a charge for the Draft Horse performances in the arena, admission to the Fairgrounds is free so all can enjoy the many activities of the Harvest Fair happening during the four days of the Classic. Visit the grounds to enjoy western music, Harvest Fair agricultural competitions and hundreds of community exhibits, a clogging jamboree, horse shoeing demonstrations, Treat Street goodies, and Art at the Classic. Plus, you don’t want to miss the opportunity to visit the barns and meet the famous Draft Horses up-close. We even offer guided barn tours!

The Nevada County Fairgrounds is located on McCourtney Road in Grass Valley, just 50 miles northeast of Sacramento.

Fair Ticket Office Open Saturday & Sunday for Ticket Sales

The Nevada County Fair’s ticket office, located at Guest Services, will be open tomorrow and Sunday for advance ticket sales. Purchase your admission and carnival tickets (zipper, anyone?) before the Fair begins and save money!  The ticket office will be open this weekend on Saturday, August 2 and Sunday, August 3 from 10 am to 5 pm on both days.
