This year’s Trout Derby is Saturday, April 21 from 7 am to noon at Lions Lake at the Nevada County Fairgrounds. This is for kids 3 – 12. Two thousand Rainbow Trout will be stocked in the pond by the CA Fish and Game and the Sportsmen’s Club. Thank you to the Grass Valley Sportsmen for putting on this fun, free kids event! Sign in starts at 7 am, and the Derby begins at 8 am sharp! Awards will be given around 12:30 pm.
Fishing for kids with special needs starts at 1 pm until approximately 3 pm.
This is a free kids event – and such a fun way to spend a day.
