Best Local Event 14 Years in a Row!
Thank you, Nevada County, for voting the Nevada County Fair as the best local event for 14 years in a row! Thursday Night: Paint the Town Pink 2015
Paint the Town Pink 2015 is tomorrow (Thursday) night at the Fairgrounds! This event is both a celebration to honor the women of Nevada County, while also taking a few moments to acknowledge those who are fighting breast cancer, and to honor loved ones we have lost. This event has become a popular, one-of-a-kind event where women of all ages come together to enjoy a fun night and support a great cause! Food and wine sampling, entertainment (featuring some of our SNMH Doctors!), fundraising team recognition, a vendor expo and a fantastic silent auction – all help bring us together to support our local healthcare community. Home and Garden Show This Weekend
What’s happening this weekend at the Nevada County Fairgrounds? It’s the Home and Garden Show, sponsored by The Union Newspaper. Lots of free demonstrations, the latest products and services for your home and garden, live music, a vintage trailer exhibit, and HGTV’s Frank Fontana. This is an annual must-do event. Paint the Town Pink This Thursday
Paint the Town Pink is happening this Thursday, October 23, at the Nevada County Fairgrounds. Hosted by The Union, this event has raised more than $137,000 during the past 7 years for the Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital Foundation for the advancement of local breast cancer care.
This fun-filled night, honoring the women of Nevada County, has truly become a popular, one-of-a-kind event where women of all ages enjoy a fun night and support a great cause at the same time! The event includes food and wine sampling; entertainment, including a fashion show with local doctor escorts; and a fantastic silent auction – all while supporting our local healthcare community.
Tickets are $30 in advance or $35 at the door. Your ticket includes admission into the event, all samples and entertainment, a tote bag, and a wine glass (if you’re over 21). Tickets are also available at the Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital Gift Shop, at the Foundation office, and at Briar Patch Co-Op.

Home and Garden Show
What’s happening this weekend at the Nevada County Fairgrounds? It’s The Union’s Home and Garden Show, happening on Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm, and on Sunday from 10 am to 4 pm. There will be lots of demonstrations, vendors, and a chance to talk to local contractors, landscapers, plumbers, architects, and home improvement professionals of all kinds! The show has fun things for kids, and plenty of good food and drinks. This is Nevada County’s only, and largest, home expo. Don’t miss it!
