Friends of the Fairgrounds: Shade Enjoying the Snow at the Nevada County Fairgrounds

Only a light dusting of snow today at the Fairgrounds (and it melted before we could get a picture), but we did capture this one of our friend Shade waiting patiently to go play in the snow. He didn’t get much snow to play in, but he enjoyed his time at the Fairgrounds. Isn’t he handsome?!

Friends of the Fairgrounds: Meet Pam and Bryley

Meet Pam and Bryley, who visit the Nevada County Fairgrounds each week. Pam says that she loves the Nevada County Fairgrounds because of its beauty, and because it’s one of the few places in Nevada County that is flat and paved and allows her wheelchair access so she can walk Bryley. We’re glad you’re here, Pam and Bryley!

Fairgrounds Closed to Walkers, Bicyclists, and Pets During Classic

Due to the Draft Horse Classic, September 22 – 25, the Nevada County Fairgrounds will be closed to pedestrians – walkers and bicyclists and pets – beginning Thursday, September 22. The Fairgrounds will re-open its gates to walkers and bicyclists as usual on Monday, September 26. This closure does not affect the Main Office, which is open during its normal business hours.

For those interested in visiting the Draft Horse Classic and Harvest Fair during those dates, the gates for the event open at noon on Thursday and Friday, and at 8 am on Saturday and Sunday. As a reminder, no pets are allowed on the grounds during Fairgrounds-sponsored events.
