Friends of the Fairgrounds: Shade Enjoying the Snow at the Nevada County Fairgrounds

Only a light dusting of snow today at the Fairgrounds (and it melted before we could get a picture), but we did capture this one of our friend Shade waiting patiently to go play in the snow. He didn’t get much snow to play in, but he enjoyed his time at the Fairgrounds. Isn’t he handsome?!

Favorite Photos of 2017: Pam and Bryley

Favorite photos from 2017: Pam and Bryley, who visit the Fairgrounds each week. Pam says that she loves the Nevada County Fairgrounds because of its beauty, and because it’s one of the few places in Nevada County that is flat and paved and allows her wheelchair access so she can walk Bryley. Definitely a favorite!

Friends of the Fairgrounds: Rocky and Dewitt

Meet Rocky and his owner, Dewitt. Rocky brought his owner in the office a few weeks ago to donate money for the doggy bags found at the Fairgrounds and to thank us for letting him walk at the Fairgrounds. Dewitt says that he and Patricia (not pictured) have been walking with Rocky at the Fairgrounds for years because of its park-like setting and because it makes Rocky happy! Glad to see you out here, Patricia, Dewitt and Rocky; and, thank you, Rocky, for the donation! 🙂

Friends of the Fairgrounds: Kate, Nicole and Cruz

Meet Kate, Nicole and Cruz. These three recently returned to walking at the Fairgrounds after Nicole gave birth (love seeing the five-week-old baby out here). Together they walk 2-3 times per week, and love the Fairgrounds because “it gets Cruz out to ride, they love to chat and catch up, and it’s beautiful.” Why does Cruz like the Fairgrounds? “Because I can ride super fast out here!” Have fun, ladies; and keep going super fast, Cruz!”

Plus, Ruby loves to get treats and to see the kids at Tall Pines Nursery School.” Tim and Ruby have spent many, many years at the Fairgrounds, as Tim is married to now-retired Teacher Debby from Tall Pines. We love seeing you out here, Tim and Ruby!!
