Fair Traditions: Meet one our youngest Fair-goers (three months old), posing here in his “Bushels of Fun!” basket for his photo for the Nevada County Fair. The 2018 Fair will be this little guy’s first Fair, and he is the third generation in his family to attend the Fair. His parents raised market steers for many years, and have attended the Fair every year (almost every day). His grandpa proudly shared this photo with us as his photography entry for this year’s Fair. Says Mom Breana, “He will definitely grow up going every year, as well as participating in some events, just as we did.” Love! Thank you, Breana, for sharing your family with us! Fair Traditions: 31 Years of Attending the Nevada County Fair
Fair traditions: Meet Kortney Prochaska, who has made the Nevada County Fair a family tradition by attending the Fair every single day for 31 years! While Kortney and her sister (who was born during the Fair and has also attended the fair every year) grew up in Grass Valley, she currently lives in Marysville and drives up every day after work to attend. Why does she like the Nevada County Fair? “I feel safe there, it’s like a family reunion, I love Treat Street and wait for it all year, and I love seeing the excitement of my kids when they get to experience the Fair. It’s the best Fair there is!” She continues the tradition with her sons, who have never missed a year either. Thank you, Kortney, for making us part of your family traditions!
Do you have a Fair tradition? Or have you been attending the Fair for many, many years? Let us know, as we’d love to feature your story. 🙂
