Nevada County Fairgrounds Names New Deputy Manager
New Deputy Manager is a Grass Valley native, with Fair and livestock experience

The Nevada County Fairgrounds announced this week that Patrick Eidman has been named the new Deputy Manager of the Nevada County Fairgrounds.

Eidman has worked in the private, nonprofit, and public sectors; and brings more than 15 years of management, grant writing, fundraising, and financial reporting experience to the job.  He recently worked for the State of California Sierra Nevada Conservancy, where he served as the Special Projects and Field Operations Grant Program Coordinator and managed the Conservancy’s evaluation and distribution of local assistance grants, including $10 million in funding during his tenure.  Prior to that, he worked for the State of Colorado as the Director of Historic Preservation Technical Outreach, where he assisted with planning the largest statewide historic preservation conference in the United States.

Eidman also brings extensive livestock knowledge to the job. He is a native of Grass Valley and a graduate of Nevada Union High School, and he spent his youth exhibiting steers and sheep at the Nevada County Fair.  Additionally, he has served as Livestock Secretary at the Nevada County Fair for the past 7 years; he is a member of the Nevada County Farm Bureau, serving as Second Vice President and Chair of the Nevada County Ag Tour Committee; and he is a member of the Nevada County Fairgrounds Foundation. He is a graduate of Sonoma State University, where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Studies.

Eidman begins as Deputy Manager at the Nevada County Fairgrounds this week. He replaces Robin Hauck, who is retiring this month after 38 years in the Fair industry, including serving as the Deputy Manager since 2009.
