Carnival Rides

GIANT WHEEL
A towering tradition of Butler Amusements, the majestic Giant Wheel dominates the Midway day and night, offering patrons a sweeping view from a height of nearly 100 feet! Passengers are seated in separate gondolas and then whisked smoothly over the top and down again, reminiscent of the Ferris wheel.

EAGLE 16
A staple of the American Midway, this 16-Seat Ferris wheel has eight front facing cars holding two riders in each. It offers both a gentle ride around the 360-degree vertical circle and a thrilling view, as riders are lifted high above the ground and able to see for miles.

GIANT SCOOTERS
A new innovation on a traditional ride, our Giant Scooters are state-of-the-art. Riders, seated in their “cars” begin a trip over a rectangular floor, bumping and dodging other drivers in their way! Coupled with the thrill of the ride is a light show, TV videos visible around the center of the platform, music, and more special effects at night! The Giant Scooters are a custom-built attraction – the first in the United States, available only through Butler Amusements.

RING OF FIRE
Love of the Midway is a burnin’ thing, and in this case, it makes a fiery ring. On the Ring of Fire passengers are firmly secured in their seats within a train of cars and are taken on a journey that circumnavigates the inside of a ‘ring of fire’. The train pauses only once at the top before cascading down the track backwards! The Ring of Fire is a spectacular ride just for teens and adults.

SUPER SHOT DROP TOWER
The world-class Super Shot Drop Tower is one of Butler Amusements’ most popular rides. Unlike any other ride on our midway, the Super Shot will bring a new dimension of thrills to your carnival goers. 12 passengers are loaded into each circular passenger station. Over the shoulder harnesses secure patrons while they are gently lifted up the 90-foot tower. Once the passenger station reaches the top, it is released in an accelerated freefall and riders experience G-Forces more than 3½ times normal. Riders are then cushioned by a magnetic braking system stopping the station before it reaches the base of the tower. The Super Shot is an exciting spectacular addition to the Butler midway.

ZIPPER
The Zipper has been one of the Midway’s most recognizable attractions for years, providing thrills to riders from teens to adults. There’s more spinning going on with the Zipper than an out-of-control top. While the ‘cages’ holding two passengers each rise and descend on a tower boom, each spin independently and the entire boom turns, too. Three times the action, backed by spectacular lighting bringing them back for more.

HIMALAYA
You won’t have to make the trek to the snowy slopes of the Swiss Alps to experience the rush of a toboggan ride. See the fair in a blur as the fabulous Himalaya takes you on a fast, up-down-around trip faster and faster, then backward too.

ALIEN INVASION
The Alien Invasion welcomes passengers aboard an enclosed alien spaceship. Once inside the entire ride revolves, spinning at 24 RPM and uses centrifugal force to sweep passengers off of their feet giving them the feeling of weightlessness. All aboard this 45-person capacity Alien Invasion for one wild ride.

1001 NACHTS
Our European 1001 Nachts ride is a spectacular bright ride on the midway and is a thrill to fairgoers. It is a platform ride that goes completely up and over in a circular fashion as riders leave their stomach behind. This colorful attraction is also energy efficient as it has been equipped with state-of-the art LED bulbs.

FREAK OUT
This ride boasts an energy efficient light package utilizing LED’s which produce clear bright color while using 90% less power to operate. Towering at 70 feet, the Freak Out seats 16 people and takes them on a thrilling journey into the sky! Passengers are secured by over the shoulder harnesses as they dangle in expectation. Once the ride begins the seats slowly rotate as the entire boom begins to swing horizontally. Passengers swing over the midway directly overhead of those watching from the front of the ride. The ride climax is reached as the boom reaches a height of over 40 feet in the air while the passenger seats rotate.

CYCLONE
The Cyclone is a thrilling ride that is enjoyed by kids, teens, and families of all types. The Cyclone has 8 uniquely designed spherical passenger vessels each with a capacity of 4 persons. Each vessel includes a centrally located steering wheel which enables the passengers spin the cars themselves. The Cyclone lifts 7 ½ feet into the air and tilts 20 degrees for a terrific ride sensation.

QUAZAR
This fast-paced thrill ride holds two passengers per car. Secured by a lap bar the ride spins and the main arm raises the center of the wheel creating a unique undulating sensation for each of the cars.

TILT A WHIRL
Round and round they go and where they stop, nobody knows! An old favorite that has thrilled and excited patrons for generations, the Tilt is a swirling experience for teens and adults. Separate cars rotate individually as the entire ride revolves up, down and around!

SCRAMBLER
Families delight as they spin in two directions at the same time. The Scrambler has 12 seats each seat capable of holding 3 people. The main frame spins as each arm of seats spins independently, creating a feeling of funky flight. The Scrambler also features Deluxe Lighting and programmed incandescent “Ultra Lights.”

ROCK N’ TUG
Those who normally go with the flow are encouraged to rock the boat a little this year at the Fair. This little tugboat spins, dips, and peaks like riding an ocean swell. The Rock N Tug seats approximately 20 individuals so parents can take to the high seas with their children.

CAROUSEL
For decades, audiences have been awed by the beautifully handcrafted majesty of the carousel. To witness The Carousel is to see this piece of Americana in all its glory. This 38-foot Americana Themed Carousel features 36 jumping horses, and 2 chariots. Parents and children create memories while they enjoy the sights and sounds of this beautiful ride together!

FROG HOPPER
The Frog Hopper is an excellent beginner ride for children. The single row bench seating secures the rider with a lap belt and then the entire row slowly ascends the short tower. Once it is almost at the top, the row of seats bounce like a frog and after a few hops, slowly lowers back to the ground.

PUPPY ROLL
On the Puppy Roll four cute puppy’s welcome children and parents aboard for a smooth ride. Passengers can move the ride at their own pace by turning a giant steering wheel inside the puppy’s belly spinning themselves round and round while the entire ride revolves as well. This ride is a great introduction for ride enthusiasts in training before stepping up to the Tilt A Whirl.

JUMPING JUNGLE
The Jumping Jungle Funhouse is a walk-through funhouse with a wild twist. Patrons can enjoy scenes from the jungle while negotiating obstacles. Unusual sights and sounds mixed with classic funhouse tricks make the Jumping Jungle fun for the entire family. The beautiful scenery and two stories of fun will attract all funhouse enthusiasts.

SLIDE
No festival would ever be complete without a slide! Kids of any age enjoy the thrill of this giant slide as they sail down the undulating path. Passengers climb a stairway, higher and higher to the top of the slide and then laugh and squeal with delight as they sail to the bottom.

KID WHEEL
The Kid Wheel is a perfect practice ride for kids that are not ready for the Eagle 16. This mini-Ferris wheel is only seventeen feet high, just enough for a good view but not too much for beginning riders.

DRAGON WAGON COASTER
With a delighted dragon leading the way, the Dragon Wagon is an exciting coaster ride for children and parents alike. On a circular track, the dragon travels a curvy route, finally ending where it began.

JUMPING JUMBOS
Adding yet another humorous touch to the Midway is our Jumping Jumbos. This cadre of eight comedic elephants rise into the air and then gently descends while rotating from a center tower.

RENEGADE
A high seas adventure awaits aboard our fun-filled pirate ship funhouse, Renegade. Filled with challenging and amusing obstacles, this is thrilling, yet just right for the whole family! Patron’s dodge punching bags pirates and climb a cargo ladder before sliding into the mouth of a great white shark! From inside or out, the Renegade is an unusual “sailing” attraction!

CYCLE JUMP
Get your little motor running’ on this high-octane kiddy ride. The Cycle Jump is an umbrella ride with mini motorcycles to ride in which travel in a 360-degree rotation. This ride will bring out the little grease monkey in any child!

JET SKIS
Get your little motor running on this high-octane kiddy ride. Jet Ski’s is an umbrella ride with mini watercraft to ride in which travel in a 360-degree rotation.

1ST SQUADRON
The 1st Squadron is a great ride for the whole family! These jet fighters have a small steering wheel that allows the children to maneuver the ride up and down as if they are the ones flying the jet through the air.

PIRATES IF THE MIDWAY
Pirates of the Midway takes you on a salty quest of epic proportions. This pirate themed walk-through attraction is a thrilling trip through a maze of unusual sights and sounds! Inside and out, The Pirates of the Midway is an eye-catching adventure, complete with tricks and thrills.

ELLA’S BOATS
This kid ride features individual mini boats that float in water along a circular path. A great carnival ride for first timers!
