Auctions at the Nevada County Fair

Support local youth in agriculture by attending the Ag Mechanics Auction and the Junior Livestock Auction at the Nevada County Fair. Each purchase and bid at these auctions is an investment in the next generation of agriculture and supports college funding, vocational training and future agriculture projects.

Junior Livestock Auction–Henry Magonigal Junior Livestock Sale Ring

Bid on market steers, market lambs, market swine, market goats, rabbit meat pens and broiler meat pens.

Registration and Buyer’s Breakfast: Sunday, August 15 at 7:00 a.m.

We encourage buyers to register online (see instructions in the PDF above), but if not, you can register in person on Friday, August 13, 2021 before the Ag Mechanics Auction or Sunday, August 15th, 2021 before the Junior Livestock Auction. However, to submit Add-Ons/Bumps online, you will need to register online via the process described above.

Helpful Information for Buyers

  • If you are unable to attend the auctions in person, please contact Tim Reid with the Nevada County Livestock Producers to place a proxy bid at (530) 520-1820. 
  • All buyers must register and have a buyer’s number to bid.
  • The Junior Livestock Auction is a terminal sale.
