After more than a year without events, California’s Most Beautiful Fairgrounds needs some spring cleaning. An enthusiastic group of Nevada County Fairgrounds’ lovers is planning a May 1 work day. Individuals, families, service organizations, high school students and everyone willing to roll up their sleeves are invited to trim flowers and bushes, clean garden begs, spread compost, prep lawns for mowing, pressure wash and paint, whack weeds, rake pine needles, and pick up pine cones, sticks and trash.
Market Steer and Junior Horse Entries Due April 9
Attention 2021 Nevada County Fair Youth Exhibitors! Market Steer and Junior Horse entries are due tomorrow, Friday, April 9 by 4 pm. Before the deadline, be sure to properly enter your selected classes – including showmanship – and complete the Code of Practice and Contact Form with the required photo and proof of ownership attachments. You will need complete the YQCA training and have your certificate number to enter, so do not wait until the last minute.
