Enter an Exhibit in the Fair
Are you going to enter an exhibit in this year’s Fair? If so, what? You have until Monday, July 23, to turn in the paperwork, so why not make this the year to enter an exhibit! It’s easy to enter, most categories are free, and it’s fun to see your creations on display at the Fair. You’ll also receive free admission to Friday morning’s Draft Horse Classic just for entering. Community Involvement Day: July 30
Looking for a way to get free tickets to the Fair? Mark your calendar for Community Involvement Day, July 30, at the Nevada County Fairgrounds. Donate items to participating local nonprofit organizations and you can receive coupons for buy one, get one free Fair admission tickets. For a list of items to donate, visit here.
Arena Events at the Nevada County Fair
Arena event fun at this year’s Nevada County Fair, August 8 – 12. It’s the Flying U Extreme Rodeo on Wednesday, all new Truck and Tractor Pulls on Thursday, Monster Trucks and Tough Trucks on Friday and Saturday, and Sunday night wraps up with the Destruction Derby. White Barn Project: FREE Outfits/Clothing Items for 4H and FFA Kids for Fair
The hard working folks at The White Barn Project have been busy collecting 4H and FFA clothing donations and are ready for their distribution dates this Friday (July 20) from 4 – 8 pm and this Saturday (July 21) from 8 am – 2 pm at the Nevada County Fairgrounds (Ponderosa Hall). They have white pants and shirts, boots, belts, 4H scarves/hats, FFA jackets and lots of items that will potentially fit our kids! For FREE! If you have 4H and FFA kids who need outfits or clothing items for the Fair, this is the place to visit on Friday or Saturday. Are You a Treat Street Fanatic?!
Are you a Treat Street fanatic?! We are! This super cool image will be on t-shirts and available at the new souvenir booths at this year’s Fair. There will also be other fun t-shirts, mugs, hats, magnets, tote bags and lots of fun Fair swag for Fair-goers!
Thursday of the Fair: Community Day!
Community Day! New daily specials at the Nevada County Fair! Thursday of the Fair is now Community Day. That means FREE admission for disabled persons until 5 pm. It also means a FREE coupon book (filled with coupons for Treat Street and souvenirs) for the first 10,000 guests. That’s right – a coupon book with Treat Street coupons! Keep watching as we continue to introduce our new daily specials for this year’s Fair, August 8 – 12.
Farm to Table Dinner on Treat Street
To celebrate it’s 100th birthday, the Nevada County Farm Bureau is hosting its first ever Farm to Table dinner on Treat Street at the Nevada County Fairgrounds. Dinner will be prepared by Chef Carlos Trujillo with local foods grown by Nevada County farmers and ranchers and served with local wines. This one-of-a-kind experience happens on July 22 at 5 pm on Treat Street. For tickets, visit here or call 530.346.8146.

Help Wanted at the Nevada County Fair
Here’s your chance to work at the Nevada County Fair! We need cashiers, ticket monitors, parking, red shirts, and exhibit crew team members. A list of jobs and an application are available at the Fair Office or here. It’s fun to work at the Fair and we’ll give you two free shirts. 🙂
