Nevada County Fair: Best Local Event
Thank you, Nevada County, for voting the Nevada County Fair as the “Best Local Event” for 16 years in a row! The Fair also received “Best Place to Take the Kids” and the Fairgrounds was runner up for “Best Place to Cycle.” We are truly honored and we appreciate the support we constantly receive from our awesome community. Introducing the 2018 Nevada County Fair Poster
We’re excited to introduce the 2018 Nevada County Fair poster! This fun piece of artwork was created for the Fair by talented local artist Kathryn Wronski, who is well-known for her oil paintings that are filled with bright colors and whimsical features. Isn’t it fun?! Thank you, Kathryn, and let’s get ready for “Bushels of Fun!” at the Fair.

Happy first day of Spring from the Nevada County Fairgrounds.
Trout Derby: April 21
This year’s Trout Derby is Saturday, April 21 from 7 am to noon at Lions Lake at the Nevada County Fairgrounds. This is for kids 3 – 12. Two thousand Rainbow Trout will be stocked in the pond by the CA Fish and Game and the Sportsmen’s Club. Thank you to the Grass Valley Sportsmen for putting on this fun, free kids event! Becky shared with local high school students a bit about her career path, as well as information about the importance of Fairgrounds to communities and the state.
