Friends of the Fairgrounds: Shade Enjoying the Snow at the Nevada County Fairgrounds
Only a light dusting of snow today at the Fairgrounds (and it melted before we could get a picture), but we did capture this one of our friend Shade waiting patiently to go play in the snow. He didn’t get much snow to play in, but he enjoyed his time at the Fairgrounds. Isn’t he handsome?!
Tall Pines Nursery School: “We Want Snow!”
Our Tall Pines Nursery School kids wishing for snow. They are all dressed for snow and ready to build a snowman. We love it when they stop by and visit the Fairgrounds Office.
Thank You, Andy Wirth, for Serving as Guest at Speaker Series
Thank you to Andy Wirth, CEO of Squaw Valley Ski Holdings, for serving as the guest speaker at tonight’s Nevada County Fairgrounds Foundation Speaker Series. As part of the series, Andy spent time with local high school students and shared leadership and business advice, including the importance of gratitude, The Law of the Ranch (you reap what you sow), caring for our land, and serving our communities (be a volunteer!). Thank you, Andy, for your time, and we’ll see you on the slopes!

Friends of the Fairgrounds: Elsa
Meet Elsa. This little cutie stopped by our office to show us her new bike and helmet. Elsa rides her bike each week at the Fairgrounds and told us she likes the Fairgrounds because she can go super fast and race her Mom around the grounds. She also said that she hopes to “someday get her training wheels off and race her friends around the grounds.” We love seeing our youngest generation enjoying the grounds! Thank you, Elsa, for stopping by, and we love your new bike and helmet!
