Meet Leah and Sol. These two cuties spent part of the afternoon happily splashing in mud puddles at the Nevada County Fairgrounds after they got picked up from Tall Pines Nursery School. Their laughter is contagious! 🙂
Who’s counting the days until Fair? We are! 196 days!!
We’re proud to announce that the Nevada County Fair took home 19 awards this month from the annual Western Fairs Association‘s Annual Achievement Awards program. We received awards for our work in social media (featuring Treat Street), digital marketing, our partnership with our Fairgrounds Foundation and the Foothill Lions Club (Cioppino Feed), our featured series on walkers at the Fairgrounds (wellness program), our partnership with the Nevada County Livestock Producers on promoting the auctions, our school partnership (Scotten School Robotics Club), and several of our photos. A huge thank you to our community and partners for their continued support of the Fairgrounds. Without you, none of these awards would be possible!

The Fairgrounds Foundation’s popular all-you-can-eat Cioppino and Pasta Feed is happening March 3 at the Nevada County Fairgrounds! Tickets are on sale at the Fairgrounds office or by visiting NevadaCountyFair.com. This has been a sold-out event for seven years in a row, and features the Foothill Lions preparing chef Arnie Romanello’s secret 100-year-old-recipe, so get your tickets early. Yum!

Planning a wedding or know someone who is getting married? Grass Valley’s Premier Wedding Fair is this Sunday (January 21) from noon – 4 pm at the Nevada County Fairgrounds. Top wedding and event vendors in Nevada County will be showcased, and there will be light bites and sparkling beverages, musical entertainment, and bridal toss giveaways every hour.
