Family Festival: Saturday, April 1
Join the fun at the Tall Pines Preschool Family Festival on Saturday, April 1, from 11 am to 2 pm. This free family fun event is open to the public, and features children’s games, pony rides, raffles and prizes, face painting, and more. Lunch and drinks will be offered, as well as treats from Lazy Dog. Parking and admission is free, so come on out to support a great school and enjoy a beautiful day with friends & family!

Please join us in saying goodbye to Robin Hauck, who is retiring this week after 38 years in the Fair industry, including serving as the Deputy Manager at the Nevada County Fairgrounds since 2009. Robin has been a valuable part of our team – she is our go-to livestock expert, and the founder of Community Involvement Day and Ag-Sperience at the Fair. Happy retirement, Robin. Thank you for your service, and you will be missed.

Trout Derby: April 15
Mark your calendar: This year’s Trout Derby is Saturday, April 15 from 7 am to noon at Lions Lake at the Nevada County Fairgrounds. This is for kids 3 – 12. Two thousand Rainbow Trout will be stocked in the pond by the CA Fish and Game and the Sportsmen’s Club. Thank you to the Grass Valley Sportsmen for putting on this fun, free kids event!
