Theme Contest Winners!

Congratulations to the 2014 theme contest winners – Dawn Narvaez of Penn Valley and Carol Jarosik of Grass Valley.  Both Dawn and Carol will receive a 2014 Nevada County Fair prize package!

Dawn submitted the theme of “Simply Fun,” and Carol submitted the theme of “Lambs, Hams, Quilts and Jams.” Both theme names were chosen from the more than 185 theme names submitted during our community contest to determine the theme for the 2014 Fair.

Next up – the Nevada County Fairgrounds will sponsor a contest to find the best artwork to illustrate one of these themes.  With two themes to choose from, the winning art will determine which of these two themes we choose for the 2014 Nevada County Fair. Details about the artwork contest and rules can be found here.

Thank you to all who entered the contest! It was extremely difficult to choose from all the fun theme names we received. We really do have a talented and creative community!
