STEAM Expo 2017: March 25

Join the STEAM Expo fun at the Nevada County Fairgrounds on Saturday, March 25, from 9 am to 3 pm. Offered by NC Superintendent of Schools, this free family event combines science, technology, engineering, art, and math into an engaging experience for the entire family. K-12 students are encouraged to investigate with hands-on fun like robotics demonstrations, on-the-spot team competitions, hands-on STEAM experiences, music, science/art related videos, and activities offered by local exhibitors. Community Canvas: Projects to Enter in the Fair

Community Canvas, Inc. is offering summer camps again this year, including the popular Nevada County Fair themed camps where artists create Fair submissions. From acrylics, to mixed-media, re-purposed art, and watercolors – your child will leave with several completed masterpieces ready to enter in the Fair. Spelling Bee (Enter by July 24)

Looking for a fun contest at the Fair? It’s the “Catch the Spelling Bee” youth spelling contest. Held on Wednesday of the Fair, this contest will feature prizes and fun. Registration required by July 24. Details to register are here. A list of spelling words can be found here.
