We’re hiring for the 2017 Fair season, and looking for gate cashiers, ticket monitors, “red shirt” patrols, exhibit crew, clean-up crew, and parking crew. Join us at the Nevada County Fair Job Fair on June 8.

The @nevadaunionffa Officer’s Team dropped off a The @nevadaunionffa Officer’s Team dropped off a $6000 check yesterday to the Nevada County Fairgrounds, the profits from their recent drive-thru BBQ event (where they served 1,400 meals!). WOW! Thank you, NU FFA! Words truly can't begin to express how appreciative we are! Thank you, thank you, thank you for all your hard work and to all those in the community who supported this fundraising event! ❤
Looking for an easy way to support your favorite T Looking for an easy way to support your favorite Treat Street organization as well as the Nevada County Fairgrounds? These cool “Treat Street Fanatic” t-shirts are now on sale for $12 ($20 if you want us to ship them to you) and with each shirt sold, $6 will go to the Treat Street nonprofit of the buyer’s choice and $6 to the Fairgrounds. Here’s how it works – call the Fairgrounds office at (530) 273-6217 and let us know your color choices and sizes, the organization you’d like support, and your credit card information. We’ll process your payment and have it ready for curbside pick-up at the Fairgrounds Office. Color choices are charcoal or army green and both come in sizes XS to XL. Colors/sizes are very limited, so order soon. For those who order four or more t-shirts, we’ll thrown in a surprise gift from the Fairgrounds! What a perfect holiday gift or stocking stuffer, and a fun way to support your favorite Treat Street nonprofit.
While we don't have a Gold Path this year at the N While we don't have a Gold Path this year at the Nevada County Fairgrounds, we love seeing the photos of "our" 2020 Fair Marigolds (grown locally by Weiss Brothers Nursery) planted around the county in various gardens and being enjoyed by so many. This is from the garden of Ed and Carol and it makes us smile and gives us a little piece of the Fair to enjoy. Did you plant some of our Marigolds this year? We know you all love Treat Street, and while we ha We know you all love Treat Street, and while we have been busy behind-the-scenes planning a Treat Street Drive Through event, we have decided to postpone the event at this time. The reasons are many – recent public health directives, health and financial concerns from the Treat Street vendors, and increased food costs all resulted in making the event not feasible at this time. However, we will keep the plan in place in hopes that we can offer this at a future date – when it is safe to do so and the Treat Street organizations are more comfortable moving forward.   Throughout this planning process, we made it very clear to the Treat Street organizations that this was voluntary and needed to make sense for them. We acknowledge and respect that the time simply isn’t right and applaud the Treat Street organizations for prioritizing the health concerns of their dedicated volunteers.     In the meantime, we encourage everyone who was planning to attend to support one of the many local restaurants that are offering outdoor dining and to-go service and make a direct donation to one of the Treat Street nonprofit organizations.  Thank you to our community – near and far – for your continued support and love of all things Fairgrounds! . . . #nevadacountyfairgrounds #treatstreet
