Thank you to Grass Valley Rotary Club for the donation of these Maple trees to the Nevada County Fairgrounds. As soon as they are planted, we’ll post pictures of them in their new home. We’re currently working on planting Maples, Pin Oaks and a Redwood in the RV Park (thanks to donations from Grass Valley Host Lions, Nevada City Lions, Foothill Lions and members of the Gold Country Lions Club) and we’ll be posting photos of that planting soon. We so appreciate the support of our community in keeping our Fairgrounds beautiful!
Nevada County Fairgrounds love!
“Bushels of Fun” is the slogan for the 2018 Nevada County Fair. Congratulations to Mary Anne Davis of Grass Valley for submitting the winning entry. We received 150 entries in our slogan contest (with a theme of orchards), so a big thank you to all who entered. Here’s to “Bushels of Fun” at the Nevada County Fair, August 8 – 12, 2018.
Today, these sweet kids from Tall Pines Nursery School decorated the trees in Santa’s Village at the Nevada County Fairgrounds. Our little friends do an excellent job of preparing Santa’s Village for the Country Christmas Faire, which begins next Friday, November 24. Thank you to our little friends for their holiday spirit and joy!
Meet Rocky and his owner, Dewitt. Rocky brought his owner in the office a few weeks ago to donate money for the doggy bags found at the Fairgrounds and to thank us for letting him walk at the Fairgrounds. Dewitt says that he and Patricia (not pictured) have been walking with Rocky at the Fairgrounds for years because of its park-like setting and because it makes Rocky happy! Glad to see you out here, Patricia, Dewitt and Rocky; and, thank you, Rocky, for the donation! 🙂
