The 22nd Annual Draft Horse Classic and Harvest Fair at
the Nevada County Fairgrounds starts Thursday, September 18, and runs through Sunday,
September 21. This premier event will once again feature the draft horse performances that have
been drawing crowds for 21 years.
This year, during the four day schedule, draft horse owners and their teams will compete

At Tuesday’s Nevada County Fair Board of Directors
meeting, the Board accepted the retirement of current Chief
Executive Officer Ed Scofield, effective December 31, 2008,
and announced the appointment of Sandy Woods as the new Chief
Executive Officer, effective January 1, 2009. Woods has served
as the Deputy Manager of the 17th District Agricultural Association

Meeting and Mandatory Tagging Dates
Nevada County Fair officials have scheduled a livestock
meeting on Thursday, November 15th to review the 2007 Fair’s
livestock program and plan for the 2008 Fair. Future Farmers

The 21st annual Draft Horse Classic was held September
20 through 23 at the Nevada County Fairgrounds in Grass Valley.
The honorable Dr. Scott Nebergall from Arthur, Illinois, a
breeder of Clydesdale and Belgians, judged the draft horse

Midwestern Judge Will Pick Western Winners At 21st Annual
Draft Horse Classic & Harvest Fair
Dr. Scott Nebergall of Arthur, Illinois has been selected
to judge this year's Draft Horse Classic at the Nevada County
Fairgrounds. He is a breeder of Clydesdales and Belgians,

and Swine Market Animals for 2007 Fair

and registration on Sunday, June 10th for goats and lambs
