While visiting the Fair, be sure to stop by the Foundation Station for a cold beer or a glass of wine. Or, bring your Treat Street favorite food to the Foundation Station, grab a beverage of choice, and enjoy your meal in the coolness of the new tented area. Remember, all the proceeds raised at the Foundation Station during the Fair go back to keeping our Fairgrounds beautiful and viable.

Congratulations to Sam Patton and Bekah Nunez, recipients of this year’s Nevada County Fairgrounds Foundation Scholarships. The Foundation scholarship is awarded to local high school students who exhibit in the Fair, attend the Fairgrounds Foundation’s speaker series, and write an essay explaining what they learned from the speaker series. Sam graduated this year, is planning on attending Sierra College as an Agribusiness major, and exhibited cattle and vegetables at the 2016 Fair. Bekah also graduated this year, will attend CSU Chico (majoring in Animal Science), and exhibited a steer at the 2016 Fair. Both attended every speaker series event.  Sam received $1,500 from the Nevada County Fairgrounds Foundation, and Bekah received $1,000. Read Sam’s essay here, and Bekah’s essay here. Congratulations, Sam and Bekah!
