Below are the 2020 entry deadlines for Market Animals, Junior Horse Exhibitors, all other Livestock, and Ag Mechanics Auction.

Livestock Changes for the 2020 Fair

  • No poultry show this year (press release)
  • Market and breeding animal late entries will be accepted no later than 5 p.m. on the Friday immediately following the published entry deadline. A late fee of $50 per animal will be added to the entry fee. The applicable ownership rules, as detailed in the State Rules for California Fairs, still apply and must be verified by Fairgrounds staff for all late entries.
  • Late entries for Pee Wee, Novice, Junior and Senior Showmanship classes will be accepted up until 3 pm on the Tuesday of the week of the Fair. A late fee of $25 will be added to the entry fee and must be paid at the time the class is added. Late showmanship entries will not be accepted after this deadline.
  • Ag Mechanics late entries will be accepted no later than 5 pm on the Friday immediately following the published entry deadline. A late fee of $50 will be added to the entry fee.
  • Still exhibit late entries will be accepted no later than 5 pm on the Friday immediately following the published entry deadline. A late fee of $10 per item will be charged. Late entries will not be considered after this deadline.
  • For junior horse, junior livestock and open livestock exhibitors, there is a mandatory fee of $2 per exhibitor for liability insurance.
  • For junior horse exhibitors, there is a mandatory drug fee of $8 per horse.

Camping Application

The camping application for the 2020 Nevada County Fair will open on Tuesday, June 23 at 8 am and the application will need to be completed online. Fees for camping are as follows:

  • South Park Full Hook-Ups: $300 (August 8 – 16)
  • South Park Water and Electric: $250 (August 8 – 16)
  • Fairview Water and Electric: $250 (August 8 – 16)
  • Fairview Premium Dry Camping with Power: $235 (August 8 – 16)
  • Fairview Dry Camping: $225 (August 9 – 16)

A few reminders:

  • All camping reservations will need to be completed online.
  • Livestock exhibitors will receive an email in mid-June with instructions and a link to sign up online on June 23.
  • Camping is limited to livestock exhibitors who must be on the grounds during the Fair for the safety of their animals.
  • Junior livestock exhibitors must have an adult chaperone (25 years of age or older) to stay the night on the grounds during the Fair.
