Music in the Mountains is pleased to announce it’s 37th annual SummerFest concert series for 2019. The series starts with the Young Composers Project on June 15th at Peace Lutheran Church and runs through Wednesday, July 3rd with the Patriotic Pops concert at the Fairgrounds. It’s two weeks of wonderful music, fun events and a great time for friends and family.
Music Academy Master Class – begins at 1:00 pm
Talented emerging professional musicians will have an immersive summer festival experience through direct chamber and orchestral performance opportunities with the MIM Festival Orchestra and guests. Soon to become an integral part of SummerFest.
Academy musicians will play chamber music at the Artists Reception Gala, perform two orchestral concerts, and participate in masterclasses, individual lessons, and other professional development sessions with MIM SummerFest artists. The program will be led by MIM Resident Conductor and Choral Director, Ryan Murray, with the assistance of MIM principal cellist, Janet Witharm
