Open to Veterans only! The Nevada County All Veterans Stand Down is a nonprofit
Veteran Benefit Corporation and is not organized for the private gain of any one person.
The main purpose of this corporation is to educate and inform of relevant resources and help provide services to any eligible U.S. Military veteran, senior veterans, disabled veterans, veteran’s spouses and dependents; without regard to race, color, national origin, creed, age, sex or religion.
The Nevada County All Veterans Stand Down Event expands the importance of reaching out to our Veterans by including “ALL Veterans”, homeless or not, to become empowered with the knowledge of the important resources available for their benefit and well being.
Our wonderful Nevada County Fairgrounds has been a prominent site for this event throughout the recent years. The event takes place both indoors and outdoors at the beautiful grounds location of the Sugar Pine Lodge and stage area.
Our Stand Down’s event atmosphere is both a casual and a serious one at the same time. Providers of these resources will include, information on financial assistance, judicial consult, medical and dental attention, home health care, and even a variety of on sight therapies.
These local volunteers and such providers give of their own personal time on these two days in a myriad of ways: meeting personal needs, graciously entertaining, serving up healthy meals, and connecting with good fellowship to all of the Veterans that are able to attend.
