2019 Performers

(all appearing on the Pine Tree Stage)

Sourdough Slim

Yodeling Cowboy Comic & Songster
Slim’s lively material includes timeless western classics, novelty showstoppers, and his own songs about cowboy life gone astray. An accomplished singer and multi-instrumentalist, his comic routines and humorous stories quickly get his audiences laughing. Born Rick Crowder on a family cattle ranch in the Sierra Foothills, he decided his true calling as a cowboy was on stage rather than in the saddle.

Banner Mountain Boys

Bluegrass and Country Music
The Banner Mountain Boys feature traditional and contemporary bluegrass music with “smooth vocals and scorching instrumentals from the Gold Country”. The four band members include Taylor Carey on guitar and vocals, Rob Shotwell on banjo and vocals, Ron Gaynor on resonator guitar and vocals, and Cecelia Shotwell on upright bass.

Big Iron

Vintage Honky Tonk
These  masters of high-energy, Bakersfield-style honky-tonk tunes sound as authentic as when they first hit the AM radio airwaves and jukeboxes. Though built on a foundation of classic dancing, drinking, sing-along music from Buck Owens, George Jones, Waylon Jennings, Ray Price, Merle Haggard and a slew of others, Big Iron keeps things from getting predictable by mixing in their originals as well as some truly inspired covers all arranged in that same feel-good, barroom style that sound like they could have come out of Nashville or Bakersfield in 1966.

Everyday Outlaw

Outlaw Country
Everyday Outlaw Is a North Tahoe based Outlaw Country band. A traditional Honky Tonk Country line up of Acoustic Guitar, Telecaster, Bass and Drums, topped off with Haunting vocals and a heavy dose of attitude. This band is sure to move you to your feet and pull at your heart strings in the same evening.

Harold Roy and Diana Miller

Cowboy Poetry

Harold has been intrigued with the cowboy way since childhood, when his dad would take the kids to the movie show in downtown Corinth, Mississippi to watch Roy Rogers and Gene Autry gallop across the silver screen. Harold tries to capture the lighter side of horses and cowboy life in his writings and writes and recites his own original poetry, usually with a humorous twist.  In addition to performing his cowboy poetry across the nation, Harold had two Western Novels published and has been in 2 documentaries, as well as a few Western movies and commercials.

Diana Miller was born in Southern California and has been cowboy and horse crazy from the start.  When Harold introduced himself as “half John Wayne, half Andy Griffith,” she knew he was the man for her. They fell in love at the Gene Autry Western Heritage Museum. Aside from inspiring many of Harold’s poems, Diana edits, recites and competes. She has performed Harold’s poetry throughout the western United States.

Heifer Belles

Back Porch Americana
HB started out as three gals meeting weekly for some music, food, drink and fun. The next thing you know they got a bass player and started playing local gigs! Who’d a thought?
