Tomorrow (Saturday, April 16) is the Trout Derby at Lions Lake at the Nevada County Fairgrounds. Happening from 7 am to noon, this free event is for kids 3 – 12. The STEAM Expo 2016 is this Saturday (April 9) from 9 am to 3 pm at the Nevada County Fairgrounds. Offered by NC Superintendent of Schools, this free family event combines science, technology, engineering, art, and math into an engaging experience for the entire family. K-12 students are encouraged to investigate with hands-on fun like robotics demonstrations, on-the-spot team competitions, hands-on STEAM experiences, music, science/art related videos, and activities offered by local STEAM-related companies.
