WHAT'S NEW AT THE NEVADA COUNTY FAIR:

The Pirates of the Barnyard are coming...

New this year at the Fair!
In addition to new contests that include a "Ward off Scurvy Pie" special food contest and a "Dog Lover's Picture/Story" division in the Competition Handbook; the Nevada County Fair will be featuring the "Treasures of Nevada County."

Just a few of the "Treasures" to be featured are Timber, wine, apples, peaches and other assorted agricultural commodities. There will also be an amazing Permaculture Garden on display. If you don't know what it is... You'll want to come and check it out!

The Fair will also be featuring a TXT messaging contest, a garden photo contest, "Kids Tractor Pulls" and a new Pinewood Car Derby. While you are here, make sure to enjoy on-going entertainment on five stages and nightly shows in the Arena including Rodeo, Bull Riding, and Motorsports. Pick up a discounted five day pass and don't miss a singe "Treasure!"

**Swine Exhibitors**
Porcine Circovirus virus has been detected in Northern California Hogs. No hogs will be on the grounds during the June 10th tagging. Swine exhibitors will be required to provide a photo, bill of sale, and ear notchings to the Fair Office by June 10th at 11am. Please see the following for more information.
